The Borough has completed the awarding of the Solid Waste and Recycling contract to Eagle Disposal of PA. The contract will be in effect for up to five years beginning in January of 2017 The Disposal company provides residents with waste collection recycling including all glass, newspaper, aluminum & tin cans, plastics, , paper and cardboard., lawn and leaf and bulk items. Each residential user is provided with a 96 gallon toter and an 18 gallon recycling bin.
Non-residential users are not provided service and must independently contract with Eagle Disposal or another waste haulers. Contact Eagle Disposal of PA, Inc. at 717-355-9560 for residential service.
New limit on TVs brought for recycling at Lanchester Landfill:
- Limit of (1) TV per household
- NO PROJECTION TVs
- You must show ID that you are a resident in our service area.
This change is necessary, until further notice, due to serious capacity limitations. It is still a free service.
