“Brick Lane Community Church is in your back yard, so we’ve been wondering how we might help our community. Here’s one of the ways we thought of. Most of us didn’t predict the need for masks when our Christmas lists came out, so during this unusual season that we need them, some folks are busy making them. If you are in need, please let us know and we’d be glad to deliver complimentary masks to you or you could pick them up at the church. If in need, please call 610.286.6790 weekdays between 8 and 4 and ask for Ginny.

If you have not already completed the 2020 Census, it can be completed by phone, per the call-in phone number or on line using the link below. If you have a P.O. Box address, you will NOT receive a paper form in the mail, so below are the options for completing the form for those who do not use physical addresses.

Urgent Message From The Municipal Authority

The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Elverson

These are trying times no doubt and we sincerely wish all the best to our customers as you navigate the changes and challenges of dealing with the Pandemic.

Our Plant Operators have alerted us to a sudden and noticeable increase in the amount of rags, clothing, toys and wipes coming into and clogging the sewer system. Please be aware that just because something can and does flush, that inappropriate items cause back-ups and get tangled in the pumps, requiring human intervention to remove and repair.

The last thing we want during this already difficult situation is to add sewer problems. It is imperative that NOTHING BUT HUMAN WASTE AND TOILET PAPER be put into the system. None of the following items should ever be put into the system:

  • Paper Napkins
  • Paper Towels
  • Wipes of any kind, even if they are marked “flushable” – they do NOT break down and must be manually removed
  • Clothing/fabric/rags

Please spread the word and share toilet paper with your neighbors, so we can all work together to protect the sewer system that serves us all.

Thank you,

Municipal Authority Board
